I think it's time

Hi there everybody, it's Chuck, and I think it may be time to resurrect Restaurant Food Fast. We've taken a nice long sabbatical. Well,,,not really. We are doing another show, Macs in Life. But we've been keeping an eye on the food site(RFF), and noticed that people still tune in and watch the old episodes. Soooo, we think that it may be time to do our next series of videos. I'm kicking around the idea of doing a series on stretching your food dollars. This is a short step from the original because cost is always a factor in restaurants. I think with this show we'll show you how to really get the most out of your food budget. Everything from what to buy, to how to prepare meals that are easily utilized in various dishes.(read leftovers). Let us know what you think about this idea, or any other ideas that you would like us to cover.

We got this mail Sunday, and I thought I would share it...

I watched your deep-fried bacon wrapped Oreos episode. My husband was headed to an Order of the Arrow camp that was having a dutch oven cooking contest. I asked what he planned on doing for the contest. It was the typical cobbler or monkey bread ideas. He was thinking easy. I suggested that unusual might be a better way to win the contest and talked him into the bacon wrapped oreos. We had a test fry with the boys to see 1. if they liked them.    2. if it wasn't too difficult for them to do themselves. They loved the process, taste, and the responses of their families. So off they went to camp with my husband's dutch oven and propane burner. THEY WON FIRST PRIZE. The lady next to them said, "I don't even like Oreos and these are great!" The judges said, "In our experience, we have never tasted such a unique and tasty dessert." There were twenty-one competitors.

   I love your show and am still catching up on episodes.

  My 18 year old son would like to know how to deep fry ice cream.
